Ervin Basil Wanta, age 64, of Bevent, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at his son’s home in Hatley. He was born November 1, 1953 to Albin and Evelyn Wanta. Ervin grew up farming.

He worked for Courtesy Motors in Stevens Point for about 15 years. He then was self-employed farming and cash cropping. He became active in the town of Bevent and some various fundraisers including 50s for a cause.

He is survived by two sons; Keith Wanta (Hatley) and Kiel Wanta (Birnamwood); two brothers; Robert Wanta (wife Patricia) and Duane Wanta; one grandchild; Rian Wanta. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be at 4-6 pm with Funeral Mass to follow, Monday, June 18, 2018 at St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Bevent. Father Augustine Bentil will officiate.
