Essie’s Obituary Mrs. Essie Gibbs, 77 of Grady, Arkansas transition from this life Friday, January 25, 2019 at her home in Grady, Arkansas. She was born August 16, 1941 to the late Essie T. Wilson in Varner, Arkansas. Mrs. Gibbs received her education at the Grady Public School District.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. John Goodlow, where she remained a member until moving to Kansas City, Kansas. After returning to Arkansas she reuited with Macedoia Church family under the leadership of the late Rev.

Earnest Jenkins and now Rev. J. Miles, where she remained a faithful member until God called her home. She was preceded in death by her mother Essie T. Wilson, a daughter Christine Gibbs, a son Patrick Gibbs, and two brothers; Ivory Davis and Joseph Wilson.

She is survived by (1) daughter; Laura Cook of Grady, Arkansas, (3) sons; Jessie Gibbs, Angelo Gibbs, and Ricky Gibbs all of Grady, Arkansas, (2) brothers; Andrew Wilson and Melvin Douglas of Grady, Arkansas, (2) sisters; Gussie Rainey of Tarry, Arkansas and Joyce Wilson of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, (1) step-son; Orr Edward of Kansas City, Kansas, (12) grandchildren and (18) great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
