Essie Mae Roman July 28, 1941 – March 5, 2019 Essie Mae Roman, 77 of Roanoke passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019. She was born July 28, 1941 in South Carolina to the late George and Laura Scarborough. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Roman, Sr. Survivors include her son, Pastor Samuel Roman, Jr., daughters, Veronica Roman and Valachia Roman, other relative and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 16 2019, 12Noon at Pilgrim Baptist Church. Interment will be held in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Friends may call at Serenity Friday, 2-8PM for viewing.
