Obituary for Etna Gearldine Cooke Etna Gearldine Cooke, a resident of Sulphur was born August 13, 1924 in Nebo, Oklahoma to Simian & Vera Viola (Owens) James. She passed away Friday July 13, 2018 at Sulphur, OK at the age of 93 years 11 months. She was married to Jack R. Cooke who preceded her in death July 4, 1992.

She grew up in Sulphur, lived in Dallas for several years before returning to this area about 50 years ago. Etna had worked for the Chickasaw Nation for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sons: Howard L. Seay, Jr, Joe Brown Lowery, Jr, Randall Lowery.

5 brothers & sisters. Survived by her 5 daughters: Hywannah Takats, of Terrell, TX Sandra G. Seay, of Tahlequah, OK Beverly Callahan, of Sulphur, OK Sue Bush & Jayson, of Ardmore, OK Diana Franks & Robert, of Sulphur, OK 1 son: Jimmy James, of Ada, OK 21 Grandchildren, Several Great Grandchildren and Several Great Great Grandchildren. The family will receive visitors Tuesday July 17 from 5pm to 7pm at DeArman Funeral Home Services will be held Wednesday July 18, 2018 at 10:0AM at Crossway Baptist Church – Chapel officiated by Rev.
