Eugena “Mickey” Hobucket September 25, 1950 – January 19, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Memorial Donation Eugena Rene “Mickey” Hobucket, age 68, a longtime resident of Taholah, died on January 19, 2019, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was born on September 25, 1950, in Aberdeen, Washington to Eddie Luke and Doris Caroline (Mowitch) Hobucket. She was raised in Taholah, then attended the Riverside Indian School in Anadarco, OK.

She returned to Taholah to complete her last two months of high school and graduated from Moclips High School in 1968. She then attended Central Seattle Community College, Grays Harbor College, St. Martin’s College and received a bachelor’s degree at Evergreen College. Eugena was always continuing her education by taking on-line courses.

For over 35 years, she worked for the Quinault Indian Nation, serving in various governmental capacities. She had also served on the Enrollment Committee and served a term on the council. She had played on many Grays Harbor Pool Leagues throughout the years.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Paul Schwab of Taholah; children, Anthony Hobucket, Amanda Schwab, Paul Schwab and Mark “Gator” Schwab, a sister jean Mowitch; one brother Gordon Hobucket and grandchildren, Anthony, Jalen, Diego, José Luis, Jaoquin, Isabella, L.P., Ivy, Max and Mark. A candlelight service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Coleman Mortuary Chapel in Hoquiam. An Indian Shaker service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at the Taholah High School Gymnasium with a dinner following at the Taholah Community Center.

There will be a private urn committal at Hoquiam’s Sunset Memorial Park at a later date. Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam. Please take a few moments to record your thoughts for the family by signing the on-line register at www.
