Obituary for Eugene H. Gerhart Sr. Eugene H. Gerhart, Sr., 77, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his home. He was the husband of the late Audrey J. Putt Gerhart. Born in Fredericksburg on December 3, 1940, he was the son of the late Henry F. Sr., and Martha Seigfried Gerhart.

He retired in 2004 from Sunoco in Sinking Springs, where he had worked as a Terminal Supervisor. He was a member of the Fredericksburg American Legion and the Jonestown Perseverance Fire Co He is survived by his son Eugene Gerhart, Jr., and his wife Elizabeth “Betsy” of Fredericksburg; daughter Jane E. Bachman of Jonestown; sisters Betty Foskey of DE, Myra Zechman of Pine Grove and Robin Getz of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren & five great grandchildren; and his friend Bonnie Runkle of Jonestown.

He was preceded in death by brothers Leonard Gerhart and Henry “Buzz” Gerhart, Jr. and his sister Henrietta Gerhart. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018, at 12:00 noon at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd.

, Jonestown. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park.
