Obituary for Eva Marie Schmidlin (Nottingham) Eva Marie Schmidlin, Eva Marie Schmidlin, 81, of Elkview went to be with her Lord, Saturday, January 5, 2019. She was born on May 15, 1937 in Duck, WV, daughter of the late Earl and Lena (Paintiff) Nottingham. She lived in Cleveland, OH for 35 years as a waitress and school bus driver.

She then lived in Mooresville, NC, for 25 years, married to the “love of her life”, the late Donald Schmidlin. She returned to WV in April, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; parents; sister, Marian Nicholas and husband Rupert; sister, Carol Vaughan and husband Roger; niece, Karen Carr; nephews, Robert, Brian, and Lawrence Vaughan and Aaron Nottingham.

She is survived by her son Anthony Argen, of Cleveland, OH; brother, Ralph and his wife Dianne of Duck; brother, Roy and late wife, Barbara of Camp Hill, PA. ; brother, Rodney and his wife Fran, of Elkview; nieces, Judy Davis, Rhonda Nottingham, Rachael Nottingham, Amanda Hughes, and Kelley Ware; nephews, Rupert Nicholas, and Brandon Nottingham; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Eva was a fantastic cook who loved her family.

She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. Eva’s family would like to thank her North Carolina family for all the love and support they showed Eva during Don’s illness and the move back to WV. It would not have been possible without you and we love you for taking such good care of her.
