Janesville, WI Evelyn M. Lancour, age 86, of Janesville WI, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Evelyn, the daughter of Edward and Lora (Capes) Makovec, was born on September 15, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI. She worked as a machine operator for Western Publishing Company for many years and was enjoying retirement.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Paul (Debbie) Lancour of Rock Island, IL, Jack (Jackie) Lancour of East Troy, WI, Laura (John) Harrison of Milton, WI, Dennis (Jayne) Lancour of Racine, WI, Kathi (Tom) Rudolph of Burlington, WI, Robert (June) Lancour of Walworth, WI, Donna (Bruce) Wentland of Milwaukee, WI, Gerry Lancour of Delavan, WI, Merrie Kay Kiggins of Sumter, SC. A brother James (Judy) Makovec of Milwaukee, WI, sister-in-laws Ruth Ann Makovec of Milwaukee, WI and Maureen Makovec of San Francisco CA. She had 42 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, 15 step-great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Nancy Ellen Lancour and Patti Lee Katt, and brothers Edward, Robert and Richard. “She wasn’t loved because she was beautiful…she was beautiful because she was loved”. A Celebration of Life will be held September 1, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Schilberg Park, 301 W High Street, Milton, WI It is a Hawaiian Theme, so wear something that looks Hawaiian or bright colors.
