Fedela Guerrero Gonzalez (Guerrero) Fedela “Wela” Guerrero Gonzalez, 88, of Bonner Springs, KS passed away on Sat. , April 21, 2018. Visitation 9 to 10 am, Funeral 10 am, Fri.
, April 27, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS burial to follow in Bonner Cemetery. Fedela was born July 14, 1929 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She was a child of three siblings orphaned at a young age.
She faced many trials through early childhood only to overcome them, molding her into the women we knew and love. Despite the struggles, she was a child who loved God’s earth. Walking through fields, forests to the mountains picking flowers and eating fruits were a few of the many things that brought her joy.
A then young adult, she united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Antonio Gonzalez on March 14, 1955 in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This union was blessed with fourteen children. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, and sewing making clothes for her children.
She enjoyed making food for her family, tortillas especially. She would have papitas with queso and frijoles ready for her grandkids when they come home from school. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ and later joined Iglesia Canaan Defensores de la Fe where she was a dedicated member and she served faithfully.
She was a member of the Womens Group Committee from her church; where she traveled to other churches on conventions worshiping the word of God; within her group she visited other church members and their families in need of prayer and support. She also supported her congregation in church activities. As a result, of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many.
Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influences will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life Saturday, April 21, 2018 at her residence in Bonner Springs, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her sons Jose Gonzalez and Antonio Gonzalez Jr. and husband Antonio Gonzalez Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: son Juan Gonzales; daughters: Cecilia Hernandez; Maria Schmidt; Corina Linares; Antonia Raymundo; SanJuana Gonzalez; Guadalupe Rosales; and Fedela Guerrero Hernandez.
Daughter in law: Laura Gonzales-Bonner Springs, Ks; Son in laws: Juan Hernandez-Bonner Springs, Ks; Willie Schmidt-Bonner Springs, Ks; Nicholas Linares-Kansas City, Ks; Jose Luis Raymundo-Ottawa, Ks; and Celso Hernandez-Kansas City, Ks. And her Fifty-three grandchildren; one hundred and thirty four great-grandchildren; thirty three great-great grandchildren; and a host of devoted friends.
