TOURGEE, Flora E. (Camire, Gordon), 88, of Tollgate Rd. , Warwick, passed from this life to be with the Lord, her savior, on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Hope Hospice & Palliative Care in Providence. She was the loving and dedicated wife of the late Edward R. Tourgee Sr, who passed in August of 2000.

He was the love of her life. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Omer P. and Clara M. (Monette) Camire. Flora worked for 25 years at Industrial National / Fleet Bank before retiring at 65 years of age and she later worked in communications at Kent Hospital for 16 years, only taking time off to care for her Eddy while he was ill, retiring again at the young age of 80 years.

She said it was time to “take it easy and relax”. She loved spending time with her family and many friends, dining out and traveling. She was also a bus tour guide with the AARP -Coventry Senior Center.

She is survived by her four boys,of whom she was very proud; John R. Gordon and his wife Peggy of Vincentown, N.J., James R. Gordon and his wife Janice of Wilton, N.H., David J. Gordon and his wife Barbara of North Kingstown, R.I. and Daniel P. Gordon and his wife Linda of Denver, CO. ; Three step-children, Edward R. Tourgee Jr. and his wife Claudette of Warwick, Paul A. Tourgee of Warwick and Susan E. Tourgee and her husband, Roy of Narragansett; 7 grandchildren, Nikki, Kerri, John, Jennifer, Jared, Christopher and Danielle. She also leaves many great-grandchildren, and 2 great, great grandchildren.

She leaves her good friend and companion from recent years, Alfred Ruzzo, of Coventry as well, with whom she shared many good times. She was the sister of the late Benjamin and Ernest Camire and Leona Barden. Visitation will be held Saturday morning, January 26, 2019 from 8:00 – 10:15 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.

117), Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in SS. John & Paul Church, Coventry. Interment ceremony will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hope Hospice RI or American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
