BLIER, Norman D., 88, of Hardig Rd. , passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Providence VA Medical Center. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Alphe and Opalma (Jacques) Blier.

Norman owned and operated “Kid Blair’s” Showboat Restaurant in Coventry and went on to manage Barry’s Nightclub for 27 years until it closed in 2004. He is survived by two sons, Gary N. Blier and his wife Kathy of East Greenwich and Barry J. Blair and his wife Tamara of East Greenwich; a sister, Rita Kenyon of Coventry and four grandchildren. He was a brother of the late Irene Bales.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte. 117), Coventry. Burial will be private for the family.
