Frances Elizabeth “Lib” Sutphin, 90, of Swannanoa, NC went to be with Lord on Friday, May 25, 2018. She was born in Transylvania County, NC but was a resident of Buncombe County most of her life. She was a daughter of France Grover and Emma Matalee Massey Allen.

She was a manager of the United Way Agency. She was a longtime faithful member of Swannanoa First Baptist Church where she enjoyed outings with the Seniors at the church. She was instrumental in helping her son with his bookkeeping in his business.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain. Rev. Dr. Jeff Dowdy will be officiating.

Memorials may be made to the John F. Keever Solace Center at P.O. Box 5779, Asheville, NC 28803. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Sutphin Family.
