Linda Kay Summers Hilyard Edwards, 71, of Fairview, NC, passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Mission Hospital. She was born on May 14, 1947 in Lenawee County, MI to the late Mr. Summers and Sandra Summers. Linda worked as a housekeeper for a rehabilitation hospital and was widowed by Michael Vance Edwards who passed away on December 31, 2011.

She is survived by her son, Eugene Black (Ike) of Weaverville, NC. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the West Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel in Black Mountain, NC. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Edwards Family.
