Obituary for Frances Wade Reese Frances Wade Reese, 81, of 447 Williamson Road, Danville, VA, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Sovah Health of Danville after a decline in her health since November 10, 2018. Born in Halifax County, VA on September 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late George Chester Wade and Sarah Seamster Wade. Frances had been a resident of Danville since 1960.

She retired from Dan River Mills, where she worked as a Secretary. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and also attended Glenwood Baptist Church. She was a member of the Dan River Retirees Club and the Old at Heart Club at Glenwood Baptist Church.

She enjoyed baking, cooking, and collecting rocks. She loved gardening and fishing. On November 22, 1958 she married Beverly Franklin Reese, who died on September 8, 2005.

Survivors include four children, a daughter, Deborah Sadler, of Danville, VA; a son, David Sadler, of Danville, VA; a son, Duane Reese, of Danville, VA; and a daughter, Susan R. Wilson (Carlton), of Blairs, VA; a sister, Joan Lacks (John Wayne), and a brother, Wayne Wade (Gaynelle), both of Mount Laurel, VA; six grandchildren, Tammy Smith, Michael Duff, Melissa Burks, Amanda Amos, Jeremy Reese and William Wilson; and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the graveside on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hitesburg Baptist Church Cemetery, 2215 Hitesburg Church Road, Virgilina, VA, with Pastor Eric Curtis officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 6:00 until 7:30 P.M. at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel.

At other times they will be at the residence. Also, the family suggests memorials may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 200 Golden Lane, Sutherlin, VA 24594. Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel is serving the Reese family.
