Schnaufer, 96, formerly of Kenosha, late of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away peacefully, Monday, January 14, 2019. He was born on February 23, 1922 to the late Frank and Magdalen (Tittyung) Schnaufer in Winsted, MN. He was educated in the schools of Chicago.

Frank entered the US Army December 1, 1942 and was honorably discharged December 25, 1945. On May 26, 1943 he married Blanche Norberg in Chicago. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1978.

Frank worked as a machine operator for Union Special Corporation. Frank was a member of the American Legion in River Grove, IL. Frank loved golfing, fishing, and being a naturally talented artist who painted beautiful pictures.

He also loved his cat Kit. Frank is survived by his daughter Connie (Valjean) Abrahamson of Kenosha and Michael (Barbara) Schnaufer of Mountain Home, Arkansas, his 10 grandchildren and his nine great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Dennis and two sisters Magdalen and Frances.

Funeral Services for Frank will be held on Sunday, January 20th at 1:00 p.m. with Full Military Honors to follow. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private burial will take place at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL.
