Obituary for Frank Richard Quinn Frank Richard Quinn, Jr., 96, of Bonita Springs, FL passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018—his eyesight still clear, his mind still keen, and his Faith forever strong. A longtime resident of Bonita Springs, Frank moved to the area in 1955 from Marshfield, MA. Frank was born October 3, 1922 in Boston, MA, the only child of Frank and Myrtle (Cutler) Quinn, Sr

He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1941-1945 and was awarded the Silver Star for his acts of heroism in the line of fire on the beaches of Iwo Jima with the 3-27th Infantry Regiment, 5th Marine Division. Following military service, Frank returned to Massachusetts, married Margaret Thompson, restarted the family plumbing business, and began a family. In 1955 he moved his family and Quinn Plumbing to Bonita Springs, FL.

In Nov. 1957, Frank’s life took a dramatic turn to Christian Faith, which altered the course of his family’s history and ministry in SW Florida. Learning Spanish as an adult, Frank founded Manna Christian Missions, Inc. to begin worship services in area migrant camps, build churches and enable ministry support to Florida’s rapidly growing Hispanic population.

His passion for missions and the life-changing message of Jesus Christ have had an eternal impact on his family and countless others for over 60 years. Frank’s survivors include his loving children, David C. (Sheila) Quinn of St. Joseph, TN, daughter-in-law Marilyn (the late Peter T.) Quinn of Bonita Springs, FL, Margaret “Peggy” (Ike) Laney of Wilmington, NC, Richard G. (Margene) Quinn of Bonita Springs, FL, Ellen Q. (Bob) Nichols of Bonita Springs, FL, and Thomas W. (Shannon) Quinn of Whittier, NC; 22 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Margaret T. Quinn in 2006, his son, Peter T. Quinn in 2017, and his son, Michael H. Quinn in 1952.

A memorial service was held at Manna Christian Missions in Bonita Springs on 6 Oct, and he will be laid to rest beside his wife at Marshfield Hills Cemetery in Marshfield Hills, MA on Wednesday, Oct 10, 2018.
