Obituary for Frank Stachowicz Frank Stachowicz, 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke. Born in Chicopee on July 23, 1927, son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Padykula) Stachowicz, he lived most of his life in Springfield. A US Navy veteran of World War II, he served aboard the USS Bainbridge.

Frank worked for many years for FW Sickles Co. and after for Hapco Auto and Stop and Shop. Frank is survived by his loving niece, Kathy Frost and husband Ron of Ludlow and their sons Geoff and Nick; his nephew, Daniel Hudyka, of Wilmington, DE; great nephew, Mark Stachowicz and wife Anne and their children; a great niece Kim Stachowicz and her mother Nancy, of Lunenburg, MA; and several other great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Josephine Hudyka and brothers, John and Alfred Stachowicz.

A prayer service for Frank will be held Friday at 1PM in Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Parker St., Springfield. A calling hour will precede the service on Friday from 12Noon -1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
