Franklin Delano Emelo, 84, died peacefully on Sunday July 29, 2018, at Golden Heights Personal Care Home. He was born January 2, 1934 and was a lifetime resident of Jeannette, PA. He was one of seven children born to the late Maude and Charles Emelo.

He is preceded in death by Mamie Galterio, Alice Saint, Dorothy Carosella, John Emelo, and William Emelo. He is survived by his sister Francis Houser. Franklin worked at Westmoreland Glass Factory, Jeannette Specialty Glass, and Jeannette Federal Savings.

In earlier years, Franklin enjoyed planting in his garden, was an avid Steelers fan, and loved to play with his beloved dog, Buddy. As the years went on, Franklin was an Usher at Sacred Heart Church in Jeannette and a member of The Knights of Columbus. He is mourned by his wife Patricia Emelo; his daughter Denise Mahoy and her husband Regis Mahoy; grandchildren Regis Mahoy Jr., Emily Mahoy and fiance Cameron Roth: his furry companion Buddy; he is also survived by his daughter Victoria Hall (Tony) and granddaughters Julianne and Marissa Hall.

There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday July 31,2018 in Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette with Fr. Paul Lisik as celebrant.

Entombment will follow at Westmoreland County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make all donations to Heartland Hospice.
