Obituary for Fred Ashmore Fred Bennie Ashmore, 87, widower of Nancy Alice Burnette Ashmore, passed away June 19, 2018. A native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Grady B. and Alice Parrot Ashmore, he was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and a member of Apalache Baptist Church. Surviving are one brother, Rudolph M. Ashmore of Greer and three sisters, Mary Floyd, Betty Boyter and Marlene McCuen (Marion) all of Greer.

Mr. Ashmore was predeceased by one brother, Jimmy Craig Ashmore and two sisters, Vickie Iris Ashmore and Joyce Smith. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Billy Littlejohn and Rev. Jim McMakin.

Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ricky McCuen, Robin Floyd, Cleveland Staggs, Brian Howell, Baron Howell and Tony Burnette. Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. at The Wood Mortuary.
