Fred’s Obituary Fred Wayne Smith, 70, of Lexington passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, February 15 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Rev. Henry King officiating the service.

Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Visitation with family and friends will be held Thursday, February 14 from 6-8pm at Davidson Funeral Home. Mr. Smith was born on January 27, 1949 in Davidson County to Charlie J. Smith and Dorothy Mauney Smith.

He previously had worked at Stanley Furniture and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert Smith and Charles Smith, brother-in-law, Donald Coffey, and sister, Margaret Lawson. Surviving are his brothers, Dewey Smith, David Smith (Doris), Rocky Smith (Deborah); sisters, Mary Coffey, Brenda Smith; sister-in-law, Debra Habich Smith; and three nephews, Donald Oldham, Jr., Shannon Robert Smith and R.J. Smith.
