Freda R. Coons, 63, of Taylor Ridge, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at her home. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Private services will be held Friday at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to an Education Fund for her grandchildren. Freda was born on February 16, 1955 in Moline, a daughter of Jim and Mary (Drew) Drinkwine.

She married Daniel Coons on February 15, 1974 in Moline. Freda had worked at AT&T, Rock Island. She loved her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

Freda enjoyed her dogs and her “grandpups” and going to yard sales. Survivors include her husband, Daniel; a daughter, Danah (Steve) Wildermuth, Geneseo; grandchildren, Chase and Lauryn Wildermuth, Geneseo; siblings, Jacque Beaird, Moline and Rocky (Anne) Drinkwine, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. Freda was preceded in death by her parents.
