Freda F. Nesbitt, 94, of Canal Fulton, passed away on July 7, 2018. She was born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania on July 13, 1923 to the late Abe and Fanny (Hamilton) Kughn. She married Robert H. Nesbitt and they shared 60 loving years together before his passing in 2004.

During WWII Freda worked in the navy shipyard where they built landing crafts. Following the war, she was mostly a homemaker but did work in retail at Sears for a few years. In her spare time, Freda enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her son Gary (Helen) Nesbitt and daughter Candace Thomas; grandsons Jonathan (Jennifer) Nesbitt and Geoffrey (Jessica) Nesbitt; great-grandchildren Dylan, Quinn, and soon to be, Owen. In addition to her parents and husband, Freda was preceded in death by her brother Charles Kughn. The family would also like to give special thanks to the staff of Altercare of Navarre as well as Freda’s neighbors Margaret and Gary Caldwell for their care and compassion throughout this time.
