Mr. Fredrick J. King, age 71, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Poppen Residence. He was born on November 22, 1947 in Muskegon to Harm and Doris (Bishop) King, and resided in the area all of his life. Fred was a Veteran in the National Guard.

He worked at Miller Engineering for many years as a tool and die maker, prior to retiring. Fred enjoyed golfing, playing euchre at the Grand Haven Eagles, camping at Hess Lake, bowling and waterskiing. SURVIVORS include his daughter, Laura (Erik) Brokstad of Muskegon and their daughter, Dylann who was the light of his eyes; two sisters, Linda (Gerry) Ridderman; Barbara (Dan) Bowen; longtime girlfriend; Teri Aldrich; niece, Julie; nephews, Jason and David; and golf buddy, Gordie Stockholm.

Also a special thanks to Fred’s neighbors, Roger and Judy Mackay. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be 6-8 PM Monday evening, March 18, 2019 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. Memorial Contributions to Harbor Hospice will be appreciated.
