Fredrick’s Obituary Fredrick Thornton, age 66, was born on November 10, 1952 in Greenville, Alabama, the son of Freddie Mae (Rudolph) Thornton and the late Robert Thomas Thornton. He departed this life peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. Fred relocated to Niagara Falls, New York with his family in 1960.

He attended local schools and was employed at Union Carbide and later at Voelpel Farms. He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Alean Allen on September 24, 1982 and to this union , two children were born. He enjoyed 70’s and 80’s music, spending time with family and friends, and making people laugh, known for often making jokes.

Fred leaves to mourn his passing: His mother, Freddie Mae (Rudolph) Thornton of Niagara Falls, NY. His wife, Alean (Allen) Thornton of Niagara Falls, NY. One son, Alan Stephon Thornton of New York, NY.

One Daughter, Fredia Lynette Thornton of Niagara Falls, NY. One sister, Vivian Marie Bland of Los Angeles, CA. Two brothers, Michael Anthony and Lonnie Edward Thornton of Niagara Falls, NY .

He will forever be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Fred was pre-deceased by his father, Robert Thomas Thornton and one brother, Henry Lewis Thornton (Peter). Fredrick’s family would like to sincerely express their immense gratitude and appreciation for all your prayers, comforting messages and expressions of kindness shown during their time of bereavement.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at True Deliverance Temple, Inc., 1318 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls New York 14303 with Pastor Sonia P. Badger officiating.
