Gary E. Ford, 60, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at his residence. He was born December 17, 1958 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of William ‘Bill’ Ford and Karen (Smith) Armstrong. Gary was a Millwright Industrial Contractor with Joule Construction.

His hobbies included fishing, flying model air planes, repairing old cars, and riding his 4-wheeler. Preceding him in death was his step-sister, Patty Shebish. Survivors include his father, Bill and wife, Jewell, of Flat Rock, Illinois; mother, Karen, of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one son, Chris Ford of Robinson, Illinois; two brothers, Doug Ford and wife, Tanya, of Palestine, Illinois and Dennis Ford and wife, Kathy, of Allen, Texas; one sister, Sammi Byers and husband, Jim, of Vincennes, Indiana; two step-brothers, Bob Armstrong of Charleston, North Carolina and Michael Armstrong of Pensacola, Florida; and three step-sisters, Sandy Shutts of Bridgeport, Nebraska, Penny Correll of Sumner, Illinois, and Sheila Correll of Bridgeport, Illinois.

A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 6:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Casual dress is requested by the family.
