Obituary for Gary Lickteig Gary J. Lickteig age 65 of Joplin, Mo. passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Gary was born on October 27, 1952 in Algona, Ia.

, the son of Donovan and Mary Jane (Hauptman) Lickteig. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Gary was employed at Mars Pet Care in the maintenance department for 17 years.

He married Donna Hoyt on January 24, 1975. He is survived by his wife, additional survivors include a son; Brandon Lickteig of Joplin, Mo. , a daughter; Jamie Harris and her husband David of Webb City, Mo.

, Two brother’s; Charles Lickteig of Little Falls, Mn. , and Danny Lickteig of Little Falls, Mn. Four grandchildren, Megan Hansen, Mackenzie Hansen, Lance Hansen Kayla Harris, Gary was proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers, Steven Lickteig and Bobby Dykeman.

A memorial visitation will be held at the home on June 8, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary and Crematory.
