Gary Kent (Ken) Coggins February 12, 1964 ~ October 18, 2018 Gary (Ken) passed away October 18, 2018 after a short yet courageous fight with cancer. Ken was born February 12, 1964 in Ogden, Utah, to Kathryn T. Coggins. Ken graduated from Bonneville High School in 1982.

He graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in both information science & technology and business management. He was raised in Riverdale, UT. He moved to Logan, UT, Phoenix, AZ, Fairbanks, AK, Tucson, AZ, and completed a full circle back to Riverdale, UT.

Ken served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant; he was an armored cavalry scout in the 9th Infantry Regiment known as the Manchu. He served 4 years active duty and 4 years active reserves. He worked in the movie theater industry in his younger years.

Most recently, he was an independent software consultant in the health insurance industry. Ken was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is survived by his mother, Kathryn T. Coggins, Riverdale, UT; one daughter, Aubree (Matt) Jensen, Tucson, AZ; two sons, Andrew Jackson (Breann) Coggins, North Salt Lake, UT, and Brandon Thomas Kent Coggins, Riverdale, UT; four grandchildren: Taylor Rose Jensen (8), Carly Sue Jensen (5), Steel Jackson Coggins (3), Tessa Ann Jensen (2); one brother, Phil (LurLeen) Coggins, South Willard, UT; and one nephew, Cole Coggins, South Willard, UT.

Ken was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, & uncle. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. , Ogden, UT.
