Virgie Ruth Christensen Stromberg died October 12, 2018 from complications of MS. She was born April 24, 1945 in Springdale, Utah a daughter of Ronald and Lorna Dutton Christensen. She moved to Ogden in 1968 and married William Merritt Stromberg.

She attended the College of Southern Utah, Cedar City, Utah. Virgie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in various positions in the church. Virgie was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She enjoyed crocheting, singing and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by three step-daughters, one step-son, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

We wish to thank the CNAs and staff at Chancellor Gardens and Comfort Worx Hospice for their care and compassion. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

Friends may visit family Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
