Gary Kent Smith, 71, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019. He was born on June 11, 1947 in South Bend to the late Barbara Kronewitter-Smith and DeVerl William Smith. Gary is survived by his brother, DeVerl M. Smith; niece, Bethann Stinson, and her two sons, Chandler and Ethan Stinson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Portage Manor in South Bend for their devotion to his care and for their advocating for his needs all of these years. There will be no services. Palmer Funeral Home—River Park Chapel is assisting the family.
