Obituary of Gary Long Gary Hobert Long, age 66, of Asheboro passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Randolph Hospice House. Mr. Long was born in Randolph County on December 16, 1951 to Hobart Arthur and Annie May Ward Long. He was formerly employed with Burlington Industries and Weimann Furniture in Ramseur.

Gary attended West Asheboro Church of God. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother Clayton Arthur Long and sister, Judy Faye Long Ingalsbe. He is survived by his siblings, William Gilbert Long and wife Theresa, Gail R. Quantz and husband Danny, Bernice Ann Long Poteet and husband Kirk, Jimmy Garland Long, Marty Darryl Long and Shelia Long.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 12:30-1:30 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue in Asheboro. A graveside service will follow on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the Franklinville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hwy 22 in Franklinville with Rev. Matt Gunter officiating.
