Gaynelle Tedder Keaser, 83, of Candler passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville. Born on January 6, 1935 in Alexander County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Byrd and Cecil Pennell. She was an alumnus of High Point College in High Point, NC where she received her B.A. in Education.

In 1961 she started molding young mind and continued to do so until she retired from the Buncombe County School System in 1992 after 23 years of service. Among her many enjoyments in life, socializing and dancing was her favorites, however, she also enjoyed traveling and time spent on the beach. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, John Keaser; daughter, Anita Tedder; and siblings, G.S. Pennell, Bill Pennell, and Herman Pennell.

Surviving are her children, Neil Tedder and his spouse, Susan, and Keith Tedder all of Candler; sister, Angelle Foust of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Whitney Tedder of Asheville, and Cody Tedder of Atlantic Beach. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in the chapel of Asheville Area Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services.
