Geneva Taylor Ashby, 71, of Effingham, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019. Mrs. Ashby was born in Williamsburg Co., SC a daughter of the late Liston D. Taylor and Bessie Phillips Taylor. She was a retired supervisor from Rental Uniform Service and a member of Bethsaida United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kimmerly Taylor; brothers, Gilbert Taylor, Mollette Taylor, Albet Taylor, and Purvis Taylor; sisters, Mattie Lee Phillips, Aline Melton, Myrtle Poston, and Louise Zuzolo. Surviving are her husband, Dennis Wayne Ashby of Florence; daughter, Shonda (Scott) Altman; step-son, Denny (Jeania) Ashby; grandchildren, Lane Edwards, Devin (Katie) Carlton, Cody (Cierra) Altman, and Brooke Altman; great-grandchild, Blakley Altman; sisters, Addie Mae Turner and Maude Hughs, and her fur baby, Sissy. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Prosser Cemetery in Pamplico. Please send messages to the family at the obit section of www.
