Obituary for Genevieve Gladys Dreffs Dreffs, Genevieve Gladys, Chesaning, Michigan. Loving mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018. Age 94 years.

Daughter of the late Felix and Stella (Radecka) Wendzik, Genevieve was born August 16, 1923 in Fosters, Michigan. She served in the U.S. Army-Air Force for 18 months during WWII. She was married to Edward Dreffs on July 1, 1950.

He predeceased her August 9, 1992. Genevieve was a school bus driver for the St. Charles School District for 18 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Charles, its’ Altar Society, League of Catholic Women, American Legion Post # 22 in Chesaning, and card club for over 50 years.

Surviving to cherish her memory are three sons and three daughters, Dale (Elizabeth) Dreffs, Daryl Dreffs, Darlene (Lawrence) Frendscho, David (Cheryl) Dreffs, Donna Jones, Diane (Joseph) Krol; 13 grandchildren and their spouses, 11 great-grandchildren and one spouse; two great-great-granddaughters; her sister, Eleanor Wenn; many nieces and nephews. Genevieve was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters, Anthony, Harry, Sophie, Wanda, Jenny, Edward and Joseph. A special thank you to Union Court of St. Charles and Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Hospice for the love and care they have given.

Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 708 Sanderson St., St. Charles, Michigan 48655. Rev. Fr.

John F. Cotter will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in St. Charles with Military Services conducted by V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may visit at the Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

(between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish or the Breast Cancer Foundation.
