Obituary for Michael G. Steeves Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 at his home. Age 70 years. The son of the late Harry and Barbara (Colwell) Steeves, Mike was born April 22, 1948 in Grayling, Michigan.

Mike graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1967 where he was captain of the swim team. Mike served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He married Lori Weirauch who survives him.

Mike was employed as a pipefitter through Local 85 for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed nature, car racing and car restorations, working at the Midland Antique Festival and was instrumental in restoring the fountain at the Saginaw Children’s Zoo. Surviving besides his wife Lori are two daughters, Megan Mooney, Malinda (Tim) Schramm; grandchildren, Micah, Jonah, Karli Jo and Ellah Lyn Schramm; all of Saginaw; a sister, Susan (Mike) Bergeon; nieces, Jenny (Dave) Buck, Kimberly (Nathan) Montgomery, all of California; a special cousin, Dale Gooding.

Honoring Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Michael’s family will receive friends at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty), on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In honor of Mike’s Earth Day birthday, please consider planting a tree in his memory, or making a contribution to Major Chords for Minors.
