Obituary for George W. Coxeter George W. Coxeter, age 89, of West Haven, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at CT Hospice. Born in New Haven on January 2, 1929, he was the son of the late George and Alma (Haeckel) Coxeter. George was a graduate of MIT and proudly served in the US Navy Active Reserves.

Before retirement, he worked as an electrical engineer at Raymond Engineering in Middletown for many years. Active in his community, George was a very charitable and accomplished man. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his property which he designed and built.

George is survived by his sister Alma (David) Werner, nieces Deborah Werner, Patricia (Stephen) Hochhaus, great-niece Catherine Carnabuci and great-nephew Austin Werner. He was predeceased by his nephew David M. Werner. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green.

A funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Monday morning at 10:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Church at 11:00. Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Lawrence Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd.
