Geraldine Irene Shorts, 100, of Warren, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at the Rouse Home Cottage in Pleasant Twp. Geraldine was born was born February 12, 1918 on a farm Raymilton, PA, (Crawford County) the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Pond) Gadsby. She was a 1935 Graduate and Valedictorian of Sandy lake High School.

A longtime resident of this area, she also resided in Florida. She worked at Sylvania for twenty years, Savoy Restaurant, for a time, and at the New Process Company, then retired to Florida. She enjoyed her flowers and garden at the home on Yankee Bush that she and her husband built.

She enjoyed her neighbors, playing bingo at the senior center and the Pleasant Twp. Fire Hall, crossword puzzles, soduku and jigsaw puzzles. Geraldine especially enjoyed her family.

She is survived by a sister, Lois Johnson of Warren; three granddaughters, Amy, Lynn and Leigh, all of Florida; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death in 1950 by her first husband Richard Gerrett, whom she married in 1937, her second husband, in 2000, William Shorts, whom she married in 1962; a son, Francis Gerrett in 2012; infant stillborn twin sons; three sisters Virginia Daugherty, Lucille Jenkins, Mary Jane Silves; and a brother, Ronald Gadsby. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna.

Ave. East, Warren, on Thursday July19, from 10 am to 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Rick Hamrick, pastor, Youngsville Free Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Warren.
