Germaine Francis Peterson March 09, 1928 – January 09, 2019 Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Germaine Francis Peterson, 90, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She was born on March 9, 1928, in Wausau, WI to Oliver Paul and Gertrude M. (Knippel) Goulette. Germaine married Herbert Peterson in 1959.

She spent many years as a switchboard operator at the Northland Hotel, the telephone company and St. Mary’s Hospital. After Herbert passed in 1975, Germaine quit her job to raise her five children, and later she went back to work at Mason Manor where she became Nutrition Site Manager. She always spent her time helping anyone that needed it.

Germaine’s family and the church were very important to her. She is survived by her children, Mary (Dan) Smith, Mark DeBaker, Ann (Todd Hanson) Peterson, Paul Peterson, John Peterson; grandchildren, Jennifer (Chad) Marnocha, Daniel (Katie) Smith III, David Smith, Anais Hobbins, Stuart DeBaker, Sarah (Michael) Cliver, Michelle Peterson; nine great-grandchildren, Trenton, Trinity, Trevor, Martin, Madison, Miles, Leo, Emma, Ashlee; her siblings, Virginia Rolkosky and James (Barb Eggener) Goulette; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert S. Peterson; and her parents.

Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of Ninth St. and 12th Ave. from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, January 17, followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 11 a.m. at the church. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
