OBITUARY Gerrick Reed Busl October 25, 1947 – October 22, 2018 Gerrick Reed Busl, 70, slipped the surly bonds of earth and traded his mortal body for a glorious eternal one on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. Gerrick was a Christian pastor/teacher, a counselor, an encourager, and above all, a Warrior for Truth.

He has now joined the Last Days army, having earned the rank of General due to the many battles and insufferable illnesses he fought on earth. Gerrick is survived by his wife, Jill (nee Wise); his daughter, Dr. Gretchen Busl (Dr. Matt Brown) of Denton, TX; his mother, Barbara Busl, 90, of LifeCare, Port St. Lucie, FL; his sister, Carla Field of Greenville, SC; 3 nieces, Hannah, Rachel, and Mary Kate; and 2 nephews, Joshua and Matt. He also leaves behind 6 cats: Lil’ Bit (his favorite), Libby, Louie Two-Toes, Beau, Hermia, and Rachel.

A Gathering of Friends will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, with the Celebration of Life beginning at 2 p.m. at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Pkwy, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987. Although flowers are appreciated, contributions to the Christian church of your choice, the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), the Peter W. Foote Memorial Scholarship Fund, and Dogs and Cats Forever, Ft. Pierce, FL are also welcome.
