Obituary for Ms. Gladys Luverna Truman Truman – Gladys Truman, age 99, of Keystone Heights, Florida passed away at her residence on June 4, 2018 with her loving family by her side. She was born October 7, 1918 in Clay, West Virginia to the late Zeoshal Barnes and Jennings Barnes. Gladys was raised in West Virginia and has spent most of her life in Florida.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. Gladys enjoyed being a homemaker, caring for her family, cooking and sewing. She also enjoyed attending the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness where she was a longtime member.

More than anything, Gladys put her family first and enjoyed spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Leroy Truman; her brothers, Beacher, Warren, Walter, Simon, Samuel, Ernest, Robert, Lester and William Barnes; her children, Gaylord Truman, Glennis Mae Ford, and Kenneth Truman; and her grandson, Larry Ford. Gladys is survived by brother, James (Milter) Barnes of KY; her grandchildren, Samantha Truman, Eugene Ford, Shelia (Randy) Reynolds; her 10 great grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great granddaughter.

A Celebration of Gladys’s Life will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel with Pastor James Crosley officiating. Interment will follow at Dedan Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
