Obituary for Glenn Theodore Ford Sr Glenn Theodore Ford Sr. “Jody” was born in Pauls Valley, May 2, 1943 to William Wesley Fields and Frankie Ford. He was the oldest of ten children. He attended Dunbar Elementary School.

He went into the Navy January 31, 1967, where he received numerous medals: National Defense; Vietnam Service; Fleet Marine; Force Combat Insignia; Vietnam Campaign; and First Good Conduct Award. He then began to serve his country in the Army in 1968 and became part of the 173rd Airborne Brigade Association. His most outstanding accomplishment was receiving the Purple Heart.

He married his best friend and love of his life Patty Harraway in January 26, 1967. To this union four children were born. He later met and married Donna Jo Grimes in 2001.

Donna Jo left to be with Jesus in February 2007. Jody enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and watching sports and tv shows. His favorite shows were “Naked and Afraid” and “Big Bang Theory”.

He loved spending time with family and friends and loving on his grandkids. Jody worked many years at Murdock Chevrolet; Lexington Prison (DOC); State Highway Department; and retired after several years at Jacobson Concrete in Pauls Valley. He departed this life on April 24, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Fields and Frankie Ford; Grandparents Raymond and Nettie Stevenson; Wife Donna Ford; (Ex-wife Patricia Ford); Grandbaby Patrick Charles Murphy Ford; Brother Douglas Ford; Sisters Maultie Fields and FloraMae Carr; Half Brother Leotis Fields Sr.; Half Sister Loretta Fields. He leaves his five children to cherish his memories; Jonathon Lamel Boyles of Las Vegas,NV; Traci of Pauls Valley; Glenn Jr. (Andrea) of Byars; Stephen Raye of Pauls Valley; Stephany Kaye of Norman and two Step-children Melody and Joey Grimes (OKC) Grandkids; Chaz Ford, Alexus and Steven Waddles of Pauls Valley; Sametria of Tulsa, Cortez of Norman and Jacob of Stillwater; Seth of Pauls Valley; Stephen Glenn of Shawnee and Devin Johnson of Pauls Valley; Melanie, Melissa and Jonathon Boyles of Las Vegas, NV and Christine Eldridge of Los Angeles, CA; Great-Grandkids; Cache Dade and Camille Ford, Sophia Johnson of Pauls Valley; Layla and Devonta Lewis Jr. of Las Vegas; Audion Reed and Amir McGee of Las Vegas; Step-grandchild Trent Grimes. Three Brothers: Michael (Tonya) Ford Norman; Bruce (Sarah) Ford; Robert “Alvin” (Dorthea) Ford MWC Five Sisters: Lois Smith (Desoto,TX); Gayla Smith (Altus); Amy Stevenson (Forest Park, GA); Shelley Ford (Choctaw); Reva Newton (MWC) Half Brother Willie Fields (San Diego,CA) Numerous aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; cousins and many wonderful friends.

Very close family friend Kevin Jo Johnson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1 2018 at 11 am in Wynnewood at Mount Carmel Baptist Church. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, Wynnewood, OK.
