Harlingen – Gloria T. Collins, 62 of Harlingen, TX entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 17, 2019. She was born on March 5, 1956 in Harlingen, TX to the late Alicia & Jose M. Torres, Sr She is preceded in death by a nephew Tony Torres; and several aunts and cousins.

She is survived by her daughter Priscilla (Shea Michael, Sr.) Garza; her grandchildren Eli, Ryan, Shaylee and Shea M. Garza, Jr.; her brothers Antonio (Imelda) Torres, Jose M. (Roxy) Torres, Jr., Alfredo Torres, Jesus Torres and Michael (Christy) Torres, Sr.; nieces and nephews Adam Torres, Cindy (Andre) Mireles, Joey (Becca) Torres, Jr., Michael Torres, Jr., Cassy Torres and Diego Mireles; other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 12:00 noon-9:00 pm in the Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, Tx.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Antonio Torres, Jose M. Torres, Jr., Alfredo Torres, Jesus Torres, Michael Torres and Shea M. Garza, Sr. The family would like to thank Dr. Kuye, Dr. Levin, Dr. Usman Sheriff, Harlingen EMS, VBMC East Tower 4th floor nurses and staff and VBMC South Tower MICU nurses and staff.
