Ctr. Ossipee, NH Gordon D. Berry, 76, of Patty Acres, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Huggins Hospital, Wolfeboro, NH following a period of failing health. He was born Feb 15, 1942 in Wolfeboro, NH the son of the late Ernest and Phyllis (Merrow) Berry.

Gordon was a life-long resident of Center Ossipee where he attended local schools. He worked as an excavation contractor all of his life operating backhoes and loaders and later in life as a truck driver hauling gravel and other materials. He enjoyed ice racing and was a former member of the Lakes Region Ice Racing Club.

He also enjoyed car racing on and off dirt tracks. Gordon was a former member of the Center Ossipee Fire Department and a former member of the Ossipee Elks. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Gloria (Abbott) Berry, Center Ossipee, NH a son Scott A. Berry, Northfield, NH and his siblings Ernest “Busky” Berry Jr., Ctr.

Ossipee, NH; David Berry; John Berry; Martha Eldridge; Duane Berry; Barbara Perry; Joan Eldridge and Jackie Drew all of Center Ossipee and Patricia Berry, Northfield, NH, as well as several nieces nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister Joyce Eldridge and a brother Dwight Berry. Calling hours will be Friday, July 13, 2018 from 5-7pm at Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Ctr.

Ossipee, NH. A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 following the calling hours. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lakes Region Ice Racing Club, PO Box 39, South Tamworth, NH 03883.
