Effingham, NH John D. Knowlton Jr., 58, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 at the UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, MA, with his wife Adra, by his side. John was born May 12, 1960 in Beverly Mass, to John D. Knowlton Sr. and Grace A. LeBel. John grew up in Effingham NH, and lived there his entire life.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1977-1981. John had a love for the outdoors. Particularly fishing, hunting, and ice fishing.

He also loved a good bonfire, motorcycles, and his dog. He leaves behind his wife Adra and his 2 children James & Jason Parquette, all of Effingham, NH; his 4 grandchildren, Sasha & Shaina of Wakefield and Carl & JJ of Effingham, NH; his 3 sisters, Nancy Knowlton of Maryland, Laurie Caulkins & her husband Tom of Effingham, NH; Lisa Chandler & her husband Kevin Ainsworth of Whitefield, NH. He also leaves behind a niece, Suzanne Berry and her daughter Hannah, along with 3 nephews, James Speid and his children Julian, Jayme-Skye, and Jayden.

Bryon Chandler and his son Nelijah. Thomas Caulkins Jr. and his son Wyatt. John was predeceased by both his parents and his older brother, Timothy G Knowlton.

Calling hours are 10-12n at Lords Funeral Home in Ossipee, on Sept 29. A reception will immediately follow at the Effingham Historical Society, Effingham, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any foundation in John’s name.
