Obituary for Grace Sanderford Mitchell Grace Sanderford Mitchell, 93 of Pascagoula, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 20, 2018. She was born April 23, 1925 in Glen Allen, Mississippi. Mrs. Mitchell was a former employee of Brumfields Dept.

Store and Sears Roebuck in Pascagoula. After leaving Sears, Mrs. Mitchell worked in Accounts Payable at Ingalls Shipbuilding, and closed out her career at Ace Hardware on Ingalls Avenue where she made many friends along the way. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Pascagoula, the Pascagoula Evening Lions Club, and was a Singing River Lioness Member.

She was a member of Chapter 151, Order of the Eastern Star of Pascagoula and a charter member of the Krewe of Entre Nous. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents, Blanche and Daniel Sanderford; husband, Gary “Mitch” Mitchell; daughter, Betty Johnston Miller; sisters and brothers-in-law, Zora Ammons (Bob), Beatrice Cole (Harry); brother and sister-in-law, Daniel Sanderford (Mattie); and an infant brother, William Sanderford who died at birth. Survivors include her daughter, Olivia Johnston Doswell; son-in-law, Billy Miller; grandchildren, Michael Miller (Lori), Michelle Smith (Dan), Melissa Pennington (Todd), and Brian Moon (Ashley); six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 10:00 until 11:00am at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Turner officiating.

Interment will follow at Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula. Friends and family may share condolences at www. holderwellsfuneralhome.com.
