GT Kowalski, formerly of Wheatfield, was called home on February 17, 2019. He was born in Kaisertown on April 22, 1942, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth [Zachwieja] Kowalski. When he wasn’t raising his 5 daughters, he worked and retired from UPS where he was a truck driver for 23 years.

After retirement, he finally found his permanent home in Sanborn, where he caught up on John Wayne Westerns, napped and cuddled with his companions Slinky, Andy and Buzz Light year. He is survived by his 5 beautiful daughters: Elizabeth (Gary) Schyve, Carrie (Brad) Ross, Laura (Roger) Williams, Lucy (Jeffrey Torcasio) Kowalski and Maria (Joe) Zwiefka. His daughters gave him 11 wonderful grandchildren: Justin, Jonathan, Danielle, Dylan, Eliza, Olivia, Jeremy, Sophia, Katie, Noah and Joey.

He is predeceased by his only son, Thomas John (TJ) and his sister Carolina Sobota. Friends and family are welcome to call at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY to pay their last respects on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 9:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 4671 Townline Road, Ransomville, NY, with the Rev.

James R. Bastian officiating. A special thanks to our hospice team, especially Patty and Jordan for helping to keep The Fossil content, all while comforting his family. Your kindness and selflessness will forever be remembered and appreciated.

Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice or to the Niagara SPCA.
