H. Lee Hardy of Niles passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 4:26 a.m. in his residence with his loving family by his side. He was 52. Lee was born on March 19, 1966 in Uniontown, PA, the son of Jack and Jerry Ann Sherman Hardy.

He was a graduate of Lordstown High School. Lee was employed as a rail car unloader for 32 years. Mr. Hardy was of the Baptist and Pentecostal faith.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan. Lee loved being outdoors, either working in the yard, taking nature walks through the woods, or a good round of golf. Lee enjoyed the beach, he felt at home with the sun shining down on him and his feet in the sand whether it was at the Outer Banks or the Gulf of Mexico.

He is survived by his loving fiancé Shannon Smith of Niles; his mother, Jerry Hardy of Lordstown; 2 brothers, Steven Hardy of Lordstown and David Hardy of Page, AZ; Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins throughout Texas and Pennsylvania. In addition, he is also survived by his two cats Coco and Milo. Lee was preceded in death by his father.

A funeral service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 in the church with Rev. Douglas W. Brown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wm Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services 614 Warren Ave.
