Haley Ann Royko, age 25, of Naperville, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. She was born on June 16, 1992 in Redwood City, CA. Haley was a graduate of Neuqua Valley High School.

She was a strong student, played volleyball and softball at the club and high school levels, was a competitive rock climber, and member of Science Olympiad. She attended the University of Wyoming, had a strong passion for animals, was a prolific reader and loved continuing to learn even through her illnesses. … Read More » Haley was a guiding light for many, and was an active supporter and voice for the eosinophilic and mitochondrial disease communities.

She is survived by her loving parents, Tim and Cindy (nee Gaunce) Royko; siblings, Jeremy, Ben and Emma Royko; grandparents, Frank and Nancy Gaunce; grandmother, Rita Royko; aunt, Theresa Maher; uncles, Tony (Anita) Royko and Brian Gaunce; cousins, Kristie (Jimmy) Hoag, Kara (Chris) Dodds, Josh (Courtney) Royko, Jennifer (Troy) Andes and Matthew (Lindsey) Maher, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather John Royko, and her aunt Ann Royko. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 24021 Royal Worlington Dr., Naperville.

Additional visitation and service on Saturday, 9:00 a.m. until the time of service 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Memorials in Haley’s name may be made to UMDF – The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, www. umdf.org.
