Harlan Clark, 75, of Unicoi went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at his home. He was born in Unicoi County to the late Carsie Burl Clark. In addition to his mother, Harlan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dove and Nancy Clark, his loving wife, Clara Joan Clark, and his son, Tony Clark.

Harlan was a devoted Christian man, loving father, grandfather, and friend to all those who knew him. He loved spending time with his family and friends, feeding his animals, especially his dog, Molly. Harlan was a member of Marbleton Freewill Baptist Church.

He retired after thirty eight years of service to Norfolk Southern Railroad. Harlan was also a member of the Greenville Masonic Lodge No. 3 F&AM.

He was a member of the Jericho Shrine Temple, when he was able he transferred children to and from the multiple Shriner’s Hospitals. Harlan is survived by his daughter Angel ”Sissy” Dixon, grandsons, Brandon Dixon, Tyler Dixon and his wife Brittany, several special family members, and close friends. The Clark family will gather to share memories with friends on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Tetrick Funeral Services, Johnson City from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

A Celebration of Harlan’s life will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 at Tetrick Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 am with Rev. Sam Ferguson officiating. A graveside service will follow at McInturff Cemetery in Unicoi.

Active pallbearers are Brandon Dixon, Tyler Dixon, Allan Bagley, Alex Clapa, Mark Hill, and Stan Widener. Honorary pall bears are Harlan’s brothers at the Masonic Lodge of Greenville No. 3 F&AM, and Unicoi Lodge of Unicoi No.

681 F&AM, all of his brothers at the Jericho Shrine Temple, and his special friends and co-workers from Norfolk Southern Railroad. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be sent to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children 950 W. Farris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
