Harold L. Doolittle, 78, passed away with the love of his family by his side on November 27, 2018. He was born August 5, 1940 on his family farm in Mulliken, MI. Harold was retired from General Motors and a former drag racer.

He was an outdoorsman that loved and collected ducks, especially mallards; enjoyed playing cards, euchre, going up north, color touring in Mackinaw, helping with his wife’s daycare; spending time with family and friends, and especially time with his grandchildren who… Read More » he adored. He is survived by his loving wife 46 ½ years, Doris, son Shawn Doolittle and daughter Sarah Doolittle; grandchildren: McKenna, Andrew and Sophia Sklapsky; brother Frank (Gwen) Doolittle, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth (Petrie) Doolittle, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. For those wishing, contributions can be made to St. Vincent Home for Children. Online condolences may be shared at www.
