Doris Evelyn Davis (Brockman), 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2018. She was born October 7, 1923 in Oakland County, MI, daughter of the late Ernest and Lilly (Harp) Brockman. Doris’ passion was her grandchildren and her Beauty Shop, making everyone beautiful for over 50 years.

She loved spending her winters in their Florida home with her husband Harland. She is survived by her son Michael Davis, daughter Susan (Roger) Lavengood, grandchildren: Mark (Heather) Davis, Sherri Davis, Teresa (Adam) McArthur, Devin (Christi) Lavengood, and Amanda (Jamy) Hengesbach; great grandchildren: Joey, Jacob and Sara Davis, Klara and Alex McArthur, Cole and Savannah Lavengood, Delayne and Ashton Hengesbach; sisters Shirley Dougherty, Joan (Arnold) Loomis and brother Lyle (Merrilee) Brockman.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Harland, sister Lillie Baretta, brothers Norman and Harold Brockman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Lansing. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Grand Ledge FUMC or Eaton Community Palliative Care. Online condolences may be shared at www.
